Reply with quote | #17 | The problem with the golf carts was the rentals. When people rent them many times they never have operated one before. Also it is not theirs and they dont have to repair it so they treat it accordingly. We have the same problem at the beach. Everyone that has a cabin has a cart , for getting around. The people that rents cabins and carts are the ones running carts through water, across yards and not acting like they have to pay for it. If you bought a cart and had to maintain it you problably would act different. I suggest they not rent carts at the ROT next year. |

Sunday morning, there was a rental cart on its side in the middle of the parade route. It was laying like road kill in front of our space in blue. __________________ BLUE B71-B72

I disagree with not allowing cart rental next year. We rented a cart when we arrived and used it in the manner in which it was intended. You will always have those that abuse the equipment even their own. Just look at those that try and destroy their bikes with burnout, over reving, etc. I believe that the rentals are a good deal and if there was alot of abused golf carts this year it will make it harder to rent one next year, besides we had to put a $500 deposit down for damages. I have not need for a golf cart any other time of the year and it allows us to enjoy the rally that much more. |
